Truthfully, I abhor the concept of BLACK FRIDAY.....ick. The word "black" in association with commerce just brings to mind all the things I have tried to make VEGA be the opposite of.....the shadow side of capitalism, the abuse of women and children in sweatshops in under-developed nations, mass consumption, soulless crap, etc. So, I am instead sending out my invitation to support small business with the idea of WHITE LIGHT and inviting you and anyone who is a friend of a friend to enjoy a healthy discount with a turn-around of a couple weeks for your very special, handmade goods. Who would have thought this crazy year, 2011, would culminate as it is? Some scholars, like Carl Calleman believe that today, October 28, 2011 is the end of this epoch in the Mayan calendar....and at the same time, a birthing.

If it says anything that I haven't written since January on the Vega Jewelry blog, is that the
Countdown is on and I'm cruising through the chaos with gratitude. I can look back at the past decade, with this strange "end of an Era" vibe coming in the Mainstream, perfectly coinciding with the impending end of the Mayan calendar. <<2011 is here and NOW>>. The Mayan calendar winds down on Oct. 28, 2011, which is literally right around the corner. Holy S-H-I-T.

I am most grateful for this experience of being human at this time in history. I am alive and kicking. Everyday. It is happening. Everything that I have been visioning for years is blossoming and I thank you for being part of it.   I hope you are pushing yourself, so that you too, can experience the rush of manifestation. I believe it is a choice and you must consciously intend to participate....Check out Carl Calleman's Conscious Convergence idea. Time is accelerating and we are able to manifest quicker than we could before and we are at a pivotal point. If you have been wanting to do something, make some change in your life, the time is now. If you have been consciously co-creating your life or attempting to for what seems like forever, you are finally feeling the shift. Fuck yeah.

I have found myself lately connecting with so many other people who are on the path of enlightenment and who are starting to really come into their full power and expression in life. They are trying to grow.-taking Action in their own lives. They are willing to change-letting Go of the old paradigm in their own lives. They are loving themselves-Evolving in their own lives. Their personal <> is contributing the the Whole. Imagine that! As you raise your own vibration, by going higher in every way you can, you are helping out the whole team.

I saw this video randomly tonight and felt like sharing. Loved Maxwell back in the day and never saw this video or heard this cover somehow.   Kate Bush is the original behind this beautiful song, but Maxwell pays homage to the Mother and the Feminine in a striking way that seems really timely. It has not been easy, but it has been worth it.

Happy New Year-it's the first New Moon of 2011! We also just had the second of the most recent pair of eclipses, which will usher in changes for the next 6 months. You can say that again.

It's amazing how quickly 2010 passed, yet at the same time eons were rolled into the last spin of the wheel. My own personal journey was quite a trip, flashed forward at times with cosmic blasts of inspiration while many vestiges of the past were ripped away quite painfully. No regrets, just leaner and lighter for the journey.....

I spent most of the year in Maui soaking up the uber-creative vibe there. Nature does it for me, as do the totally cool international babes living there. So many beautiful people to create for and I even branched out to designing for Men. I Love a man who can pull off jewelry with confidence, especially a big old crystal.....hot, very hot.

Recently, I got off the rock, as we say living in the islands, and NYC brought me face to face with the fact that the Crystal Revolution has arrived on the big scene! I couldn't have been more pleased-it's about damn time! They HEAL. Hot hipster dudes in Brooklyn rocking the crystals made me beam. The window at ABC Carpet & Home was chock full of crystals and I placed quite a few with new owners who promised me to set their intentions and cleanse them regularly (smudging is good when it's already strung, or putting in direct sunlight). Some of the crystals made their way to Paris via my friend Carmen and I have no doubt those stylish and advanced Parisians will be riding the Crystal Peace train too, if they are not already. The Japanese customers at my old stomping ground of Malgosia in West Hollywood were some of the first to scoop up the crystals 3 years ago. They would just point and nod their heads which made me realize how powerful they are! Sometimes no words are needed.....

Now, I've evolved my designs into leather wrapping the crystals and who knows what I'll come up with next. All I know is the possibilities are endless and I look forward to sharing with you my version of the Conscious Revolution: the Crystal Revolution!

It’s so incredibly beautiful as I’m sitting here in “labor.” My new website is about to be born and it’s only a matter of hours before the web designer completes the final touches. I am extremely excited and happy about this new phase. Spring is in the air and I just came back from having a peak experience in Kauai. After a complete comedy of errors, I made it to the end of the road in Hanalei where the famous Na Pali coast begins for a brief period of time before having to turn around and head to airport. It was an unusually warm and sunny day, sans rain, and the water was magical. I had a beautiful experience swimming in the water and had many moments of pure Oneness and harmony with Mother Earth and myself. I envisioned what I hope for Vega and the people I can touch with my work and my energy. I’ve always wanted to create things for other people. I have always loved making mix tapes, and hand-made cards, unique gifts that I put a lot of heart and soul into for the people in my life….it is worth it to see the look on someone’s face when they are truly receiving and allowing another person to give them something that may not be necessary, but comes from a place of love. Vega is an expression of my desire to share the sacred and the shakti with people in my life and those I hope to meet someday.

As I sit here on my beautiful mountain top, the most stunning neon orange and purple sunset, is before me. I am so blessed to be getting to do what I want to do with my life and I thank everyone who has encouraged me to keep making art and doing my thing. Thank You.
